My career has been defined by a commitment to accuracy, transparency, and sound financial management. For the past eight years, I have served as the Assistant Treasurer of Williamson County. In this role, I am responsible for the daily supervision and accounting of county finances, overseeing critical operations in the Treasurer's Office. My duties include performing highly sensitive tasks related to banking, investment strategies, and bonds. I understand the intricacies of our county's budget and have the proven experience to manage taxpayer dollars with the utmost care and integrity.

My campaign is built on a solid academic and professional foundation. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a minor in Mathematics from McMurry University, which cultivated my analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Additionally, I am a Certified Secondary Mathematics Teacher (grades 6-12), and I earned a master’s in business (MBA), equipping me with advanced knowledge in financial management, strategic planning, and organizational leadership.

My background extends beyond the numbers to encompass a comprehensive understanding of the legislative and policy landscape. I had the privilege of working in the United States House of Representatives, serving as an Executive Assistant to Congressman John Carter. In this capacity, I functioned as a key liaison between the Congressman and various governmental bodies, including the White House and Senate, gaining invaluable insight into the legislative process and federal programs.

I believe that a leader must be able to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. As a Certified Secondary Math Teacher in the Georgetown Independent School District, I spent twelve years teaching at-risk students. This experience taught me the art of breaking down difficult concepts, working tirelessly to help others succeed, and managing a classroom with patience and organization—skills that are directly transferable to managing an efficient and accessible Treasurer's Office.

My dedication to Williamson County is deeply personal. This is not just where I work, it is my home. I raised my two children here, watching them grow up in our schools and community. And now, after they left to start their own families, they have chosen to move back to Williamson County to raise their children here. This is the county we all love, and I am committed to preserving its prosperity and quality of life for future generations.

I have furthered my professional development by graduating from the LEAD Hutto program and earning certifications in high-performance leadership through the National Association of Counties (NACo). My diverse skill set includes superior presentation abilities and a proven track record of organization, ensuring that the Treasurer's Office will be run with transparency and efficiency.

 

Williamson County needs a Treasurer who understands both the balance sheet and the people it serves. My career has been a testament to public service, fiscal prudence, and a tireless work ethic.
